You know we only have one rule on our road trip....NO chain restuarants....only local fare wherever we wind up. Sometimes it's harder than others to find a diner, or family owned restaurant, etc. You'd think after all the samples we tasted at Shatto Dairy we'd be less than hungry...but by mid-afternoon we needed a snack....and we found it at the TASTEE TREAT.
They had some really tasty onion rings as well as these different hamburgers....they serve the meat on the bun as just scrambled hamburger, not formed in a patty....and it's called the "Better Burger" (as noted on their sign, that's what they are famous for).

Do you remember the "Roseanne" show. She opened a restaurant, on the show, serving sandwiches like this and they called them loose meat sandwiches.
I don't remember that, but that's EXACTLY what the little girl at the screen window (where you walked up to order) called it when I asked what the deal was with the "better burger"....she said it was a "loose meat" sandwich! :)
