So, I pass through the kitchen and find various piles of this:

Which is not toothpicks.  The picture may be deceiving.  It is actually bamboo skewers.

Bamboo skewers which Middle Boy decided made for excellent jousting sticks. Or lances.  Or whatever.

And so he created an entire army of bamboo skewer wielding horsemen.  Beware.
