Thought provoking....love is a beautiful feeling.

A quote from C. S. Lewis that pretty much sums love (any love, that of couples, parents, children, friends, family, and the list goes on and on) up in a nutshell:  

"To love at all is to be vulnerable. Love anything, and your heart will certainly be wrung and possibly be broken. If you want to make sure of keeping it intact, you must give your heart to no one, not even to an animal. Wrap it carefully with hobbies and little luxuries; avoid all entanglements; Lock it up safe in the casket or coffin of your selfishness. But in that casket - safe, dark, motionless, airless - it will change. It will not be broken; it will become unbreakable, impenetrable, and irredeemable. The only place outside of Heaven where you can be perfectly safe from all the dangers of love is Hell."

So true.  It can be heartwrenching at moments, can take you places you never want to be again, and can also send you to the moon and back on a burst of happiness.   I want to live life full of love....regardless of the vulnerability involved. 

To love, to really love, to feel that strong passion, fierce piercing inside your heart....it's wonderful.  I can't think of a better adjective, maybe marvelous.  And to be loved in return....that's just the icing on the cake.  Make mine chocolate, please. 

 Love is what makes the world go around....well, that and the whole atmospheric axis tilt and sun phases, etc. etc.
