Presidential Wit

 Over Calvin Coolidge's mantel in his home was the following saying:

A wise old owl sat on an oak,
The more he saw, the less he spoke;
The less he spoke, the more he heard,
Why can't we be more like that old bird?

**This quote reminds me of my Daddy so much. He doesn't say a lot but his wisdom and often his silence, speaks loud and clear.

Reminds me of "Big John" too. I always said he was a man of few words. John always said his Daddy "Paw Paw" could say more with a sigh than words!He said you dreaded the "sigh".
